Mayor Purzycki and the Brandywine Valley SPCA have announced a free rabies shot clinic to be held on Sunday, August 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Tilton Park at West 8th Street and North Broom Street in Wilmington.
The pets brought to the event will receive free rabies and distemper shots (dogs) or the FVRCP vaccination (cats). Free microchipping will also be available, and the Brandywine Valley SPCA will have pet food assistance available for as long as supplies last. Pet owners with questions about the clinic should call 302-516-1004 and speak with a representative of the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
To participate in this pet wellness day and to help maintain safety and proper distancing advance registration is required, attendees must be 18 years or older, each signup is limited to two adults, and all attendees MUST wear masks.
