#JoinTheRevolution! Open tryouts to the Delaware Blue Coats is soon!

Hoop dreams of the NBA? Get your start on the Delaware Blue Coats, the NBA G League Affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers! In preparation for the upcoming 2019-20 season, the team will hold three open tryouts. Potential Blue Coats will be evaluated by the Philadelphia 76ers and Delaware Blue Coats basketball operations staff. Registrants will receive some exclusive items including a Blue Coats tryout jersey, two tickets to a future Blue Coats game, and an invitation to an exclusive NBA G League event during the 2019-20 season.

 

“Open tryouts are a real opportunity to make a dream come true,” said Blue Coats General Manager Matt Lilly. “These events are an important part of our talent evaluation each year and we’re looking to uncover that next success story.”

 

To try out please submit the following:

  • Registration and release forms
  • $175 non-refundable entry fee to the Delaware Blue Coats. Registration and payment can be completed by clicking here.

 

Tryout events are scheduled for the following dates:

 

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 7

WHERE: 76ers Fieldhouse, 401 Garasches Lane, Wilmington, DE, 19801

TIME: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m.)

 

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 14

WHERE: Wilson High School, 2601 Grandview Blvd., Reading, PA, 19609

TIME: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (Check-in begins at 7:00 a.m.)

 

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 21

WHERE: Temple University, McGonigle Hall 1800 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA, 19121

TIME: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Check-in begins at 7:15 a.m.)

 

Online registration for each of the three events closes promptly at noon on the Friday immediately before the tryout. Late or day-of registration will cost $200 for all entries. All walk-up payments must be made by cash, money order or cashier’s check and made payable to “Delaware Blue Coats.”

The Delaware Blue Coats are the official NBA G League Affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers. The Blue Coats are named for the legendary 1st Delaware Regiment, which was known for its signature blue combat uniforms and courageous participation in the American Revolution of 1776.
