2019 Summer Concert Series

Support local music while enjoying Wilmington parks! Thanks to the Friends of Wilmington Parks along with Delaware State Parks, residents can enjoy the “LIVE! IN THE PARKS: 2019 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES!” This summer event kicks off June 24  and ends on August 21. Shows will alternate between Rockford and Brandywine Parks. B6JRNP


Events are pet and picnic-friendly! Make it a night out with the family by bringing dinner and lawn chairs and enjoy free local music. Concerts will be held in Rockford Park on Monday evenings and in Brandywine Park at the Sugar Bowl on Wednesday evenings. Concessions and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at each Sugar Bowl concert and select Rockford Park concerts, often featuring local brews from Wilmington Brew Works & Bellefonte Brewing Company.

Friends of Wilmington Parks

Friends of Wilmington Parks (FOWP) is a grass-roots, non-profit organization of over 500 members, founded in 1991. Working with the State of Delaware Division of Parks & Recreation and the City of Wilmington, the Friends are committed to the preservation and maintenance of the Wilmington State Parks system.  FOWP is a 501(c)(3) organization with a dedicated Board of Stewards and staff. Delaware State Parks

The Division of Parks and Recreation, part of the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), operates and maintains 16 state parks and related preserves and greenways throughout Delaware. The state’s land protection programs, as well as the state’s Greenways program, are administered by the Division. The Division is also responsible for providing recreational opportunities and educational and interpretive programs for the public, among other responsibilities.
