Mayor Mike Purzycki shared President Joe Biden‘s decision to set up his reelection campaign headquarters in Wilmington, his hometown. Mayor Purzycki believes that the President recognized the positive impact it will have on the economy as well as the city’s reputation.
“Joe has remained true to the ideals of leadership, fortitude and compassion that have always endeared him to the people of our city and our state, and now to the nation and the world,” said Mayor Purzycki. “We are proud of Joe and proud to host the President and his entire reelection team. We also welcome the media and the world to Wilmington, a city where everyone is respected and appreciated.”
President Biden’s roots in Delaware run deep. At the age of 10, his family moved to the state from Scranton, Pennsylvania. This marked the beginning of a journey that would see him earn his bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware.
