The Ladybug Music Festival, a highly anticipated annual community event, will take place on Friday, June 2 from 5 PM to 10 PM. 30 talented female-fronted bands, duos, and singer-songwriters will captivate you as they grace the stages across seven venues. The festival will transform the 400 and 500 blocks of Market Street into a musical extravaganza.

The headliner for this year’s festival is Adia Victoria from “A Southern Gothic.” Adia is a two-time American Music Awards nominee and the 2022 Emerging Act of the Year + Album of the Year. Joining her will be Nitro Nitra, a local rocker who gained recognition on NBC’s “American Song Contest.” And that’s not all! A new addition this year is a pre-party featuring DJ Shadylady from 4 PM-5 PM at Willingtown Square. Then, the after-party at Stitch House Brewery follows the fest from 10:30 PM-12:30 AM. Both are free of charge!

Since its inception in 2012, The Ladybug Music Festival has grown exponentially. The fest provides platforms for local musicians to connect with the community. Enjoy the vibrant and inclusive atmosphere that emphasizes the importance of equal opportunities for women in music.

Sponsors for the festival are CHASE, State of Delaware Tourism, The City of Wilmington, Downtown Visions, Out & About Magazine, inWilmington, BPG, Avelo Airlines, Wilmington Alliance, Greater Wilmington Visitors Bureau, Kenny Family ShopRite of Delaware, Faithful Friends Animal Society, 101.7FM/1150AM WDEL, Lyons Insurance, CSC, WhyFly, and The Wilmington Whiskey Club, so this year’s festival promises to be the best one yet.

The various venues include the Main Stage at Willingtown Square, the Outdoor Stage, the 5th Street Stage, The Quoin Hotel Rooftop, The Crown at the Queen, Merchant Bar, and Farmer and the Cow.

The Ladybug Music Festival has not only become an annual celebration of women in the music industry but has also grown to be one of Wilmington’s most beloved events. In fact, attendance has doubled every year since its creation. It is now recognized as the largest celebration of women in the United States.
