It’s Time is Here!

Today marks the beginning of the new It’s Time campaign, as your trusted tour guide to rediscover Wilmington! You guys may have seen some of my recent videos and, let me tell you, there are a lot more coming! It’s Time is taking a deep dive into areas of Wilmington hitting everything related to work, play, small businesses, and living!

Our first stop: The Riverfront – Let’s go!

Did you know the Riverfront was the base of production for over 700 ships during WWII?! 10,000 people were employed at one point, including 40 leather companies. It wasn’t until 1995, that the Riverfront Development Corporation of Delaware was founded and with the desire to ensure the future of the Brandywine and Christina River, reopened the area in 1996. As most you know, today, there’s a vibrant community of wildlife refuge, residential buildings, event spaces, restaurants, athletics, and the arts!

The Riverfront, Now:

The Riverfront has become quite the destination and living “hub” for the people of Wilmington. You don’t have to leave this area for anything! The impressive Constitution Yards beer garden with axe throwing and live music transforms — (I suggest doing the axe throwing before enjoying a beer…)

Looking for a fun night out at the movies? Frawley Stadium, home to our own Wilmington Blue Rocks, is putting on some pretty awesome movie series! And to burn off the popcorn calories, the JAM (Jack A. Markell) trail is the perfect place to get out and get active or sweat out your happy hour in a class at Riv Athletics

One of my all-time favorites from growing up, putt putt golf. The Riverwalk Mini Golf  is open and so much fun! And for those of us that are craving to sharpen our creative brains, The Delaware Contemporary is still holding open figure drawing sessions on select dates.

You’re Invited!
