There are many things to do throughout Wilmo; eat, drink and shop at the local stores. Here are some great money saving options and activities we highlighted that are $20 and under!
1. Brandywine Zoo – Located in the Brandywine Park along the river, the zoo is perfect for a relaxing day with friends or family. From now until March 17th, tickets and admission to the Brandywine Zoo are all free! Don’t miss out!

2. Delaware Art Museum – If you’re feeling creative, head over to the Delaware Art Museum! Take a stroll with some friends, a lover or family and enjoy the artwork throughout the museum.
Cost: Adults $14, Youth $6, and Children under 6 are free.
3. Delaware Contemporary – If you like a more modern vibe, the DE Contemporary is for you! The Delaware Contemporary is a modern art museum located in Wilmington, DE. They have continuously revolving exhibits ranging from painting and sculptures to amazing suspension art. They also provide art tours and workshops!
Cost: Guided Tour Rates: Adults $8, College Student/Military/Seniors $5, Middle School & High School $3.
4. Hagley Museum and Library – If you like history, the Hagley Museum is the place for you. Hagley Museum & Library is a large, indoor-outdoor experience with hundreds of years of history to look at and learn about. There are self-guided tours and group tours that go through the du pont grounds, including the gardens along the river. Check out their ticket options here.
Cost: From Tuesdays-Thursday in February $10 for adults, $8 for students, $8 for seniors, $5 for children.
5. Johnnie’s Dog House & Chicken Shack – For the hotdog lovers out there, we recommend Johnnie’s Dog House & Chicken Shack! Check out their wide variety of signature hotdogs as well as their burger and sandwich options. The food is always fresh and hot! Check out their menu on the website here!

6. Wilmington Riverfront- Scenery can be free! Take a lovely stroll and admire the river whilst having the opportunity to shop or eat at the surrounding businesses along the river.

7. Riverfront Market – Riverfront Market is the perfect place if you’re looking to get some food. Vendors are located all along the ground floor, where they sell fresh produce, salads, sandwiches, sushi, coffee, seafood, Thai food, Mexican food, gourmet treats and more!

8. Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park – If you’re in the mood to appreciate some Wilmington history, visit Tubman-Garrett park. It honors Harriet Tubman & Thomas Garrett. The park, as well as Tubman and Garrett, played a very important role in the liberation of slaves through the Underground Railroad.
Visiting the park is free. It is open Friday-Sunday 24 hours.
9. Delaware Children’s Museum – The DCM is a great place to spend quality time with the family or kids. They have many exhibits to go through and observe while you visit! Check out their website for special event details throughout the year!
