Dogfish Head Brewery is Creating Scratch-Made Hand Sanitizer

Dogfish Head Brewery Scratch-Made Hand Sanitizer

Dogfish Head Brewery & Distillery is redirecting part of their operations to manufacture “Scratch-Made” hand sanitizer.

“While we may be known for our off-centered ales, we’ve been distilling spirits in Delaware since 2002 and have now committed part of our operation to also make hand sanitizer. As we ramp up production, we will be providing bulk shipment of the sanitizer to the state in the weeks to come.”

The hand sanitizer will be created by blending a high-proof version of their Compelling Gin with Aloe Vera gel, containing at least 80% alcohol, which adheres to recommendations set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Dogfish Head will be selling it to the State at market price, and all profits will be going into a fund to benefit Delawaweans affected by COVID-19. As of now, inventory is being directed to those in critical need including health services and first responders.
