NEWS ADVISORY AND INVITATION FOR NEWS COVERAGE

Wilmington is a proud City. And it’s time to tell our story at the Wilmington Love Block Party Celebration!

Please join Mike Purzycki – Mayor of the City of Wilmington and a host of community representatives for a very special evening commemorating the amazing work happening on a daily basis throughout our great city.

We are working hard— creating jobs, rebuilding neighborhoods, and generating opportunities— and it is time we celebrated. So, on September 10th we are unveiling a new promotional campaign for the City and announcing new resources to help shine a light on the individuals, groups, and organizations doing the work, to tell each and every story.

Please help us kick off the new campaign during a block party to which the entire City is invited on September 10, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in Rodney Square.

Join us for the launch of Wilmington’s latest public-private-partnership—a comprehensive communications and marketing campaign to promote the people of Wilmington and the City!

WHO

WHAT

City and community representatives along with other supporters of the City we all LOVE will announce a comprehensive campaign to promote the City and tell the stories about what makes Wilmington an attractive, vibrant and welcoming place to live, work and play. This unprecedented effort will include a suite of digital and traditional media capabilities. At least eight specific tools and practices will be unveiled related to this new campaign which is supported by the City, State, and the private sector. From this moment forward, we hope Wilmingtonians and people living throughout the region, nation and world will appreciate the stories about Wilmington’s people, neighborhoods, culture, diversity, opportunities, and renewal.
