Chemours recognized by The Forum of Executive Women

Chemours is one of 27 companies paving the way for gender equality in the Greater Philadelphia area. The Chemours Company is a global chemistry company that is a leader in Titanium Technologies, Thermal & Specialized Solutions, Advanced Performance Materials, and Chemical Solutions.

Chemours was recognized as a Champion of Board Diversity by The Forum of Executive Women. This organization annually honors the top public companies in the Philadelphia region with 30% or more women on their respective boards. Chemours has now been honored twice by this organization.

The Forum of Executive Women was founded in 1977. They work to increase the number of women in leadership roles, expand their impact and influence, and position them to drive positive change. Members of the Forum are composed of 500 companies over four decades.

“Chemours is focused on making a difference and shaping the world through the power of our chemistry,” said Mark Newman, president and chief executive officer at Chemours. “For us, inclusion and diversity are not initiatives, they’re woven into the fabric of who we are. We’re honored to be recognized as a Champion of Board Diversity for the work we’ve done to ensure that our leaders represent the world that we serve and seek to improve. We will continue to champion diversity in our Boardroom, company, and across our industry.”

Chemours’ gender equity is prominent on their senior executive leadership team. Chemours has increased female representation to 44%, including Alvenia Scarborough to Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Chief Brand Officer, Alisha Bellezza to President of Thermal & Specialized Solutions, and Denise Dignam to President of Advanced Performance Materials.
