This weekend at the Wilmington Drama League you will have the opportunity to see local talent take the stage and perform in the annual Ruby M. Stanley One-Act Festival.
Named for Ruby Stanley, the late long time Drama League volunteer and patron, is an annual event that features original works by local playwrights and culminates in a 2-day festival in which audiences members vote for their favorite play, which then represents the Wilmington Drama League at the regional level.
This year’s festival features three original plays, Laundromat: Part 2 by Lexie Rubincan and Eric Merlino, Harry’s House by Nick Connors and Anthony Paparo, and 45 Minutes to an Hour by Anthony Sacramone. The fourth show in the festival is Nowhere in America, written by Bathsheba Duran. 28 local performers will be taking part in the four plays under the direction of Eric Merlino, Anthony Paparo, Ken Mammarella, and Tammy DeStafney.
Performances on Friday and Saturday night both kick off at 8pm, and admission to the event is $12. You can purchase your ticket ahead of time by clicking here.
