Wilmington Flower Market

This years fun-filled three-day event at Rockford Park will include a performance from country/pop singer LeAnn Rimes and a new beer and wine garden tent.

WSTW 93.7-FM’s entertainment stage, will have a mix of national and local acts play the three-day event, which kicks off with country/pop singer LeAnn Rimes on Thursday night and closes with Joseph, a Portland, Oregon-based sister folk trio, on Saturday.

A new beer and wine garden tent will be on the grounds near the music stage with bartenders serving everything from Dogfish Head and Sierra Nevada to Yuengling and Twin Lakes brews, along with glasses of wine.

The beer garden will be open from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and noon to 7 p.m. Saturday.

(And, yes, the area is covered, making it a perfect area to wait out any rain showers in the forecast.)

The 97-year-old flower and plant sale raises an average of about $200,000 each year for about 70 Delaware charities benefiting children. The money raised at the flower market comes from a variety of sources, including carnival rides, flower and plant sales, sponsorships and parking fees.

Admission to the Wilmington Flower Market is free, parking is $10 a day or $20 for three days.
