Embracing dry January does not mean the fun has to stop! We’ve rounded up some of the best activities and ideas for those looking for something beyond the cocktail glass.

    Make your way to Chase Fieldhouse for a Blue Coats game, Delaware’s own NBA G League team! With 2 games left in January, and tickets quickly selling out, this is one you won’t want to miss out on. 
  2. Iron Hill Brewery Mocktails  
    Still looking for something delicious to sip on? Iron hill has lots of options! With  7 different curated mocktails, including hop water and hop cider, there is something for everyone. 
  3. Catch a movie at Penn Cinema  
    Dry January is the perfect time to indulge in some movie theater popcorn and candy! Cozy up with one of the many movies being featured at Penn Cinema. And don’t forget tickets are only $7 every tuesday!  
  4. Go for a walk at Brandywine Park 
    Explore the beauty of brandywine park! With a 2 mile trail, you will enjoy the fresh air and the sounds of the water all while getting some exercise in. 
  5. Brandywine Zoo  
    There is nothing better than bundling up and visiting the many species of animals at the Brandywine Zoo. Even better than that, admission is free all of January! 
  6. Grab a coffee at Brew HaHa 
    If you’re looking to warm up with a delicious latte or tea, head over to one of the many Brew HaHa Wilmington locations. Along with amazing beverages, they have tons of delicious food options, whether it be a bagel sandwich or a homemade brownie! 
  7. Participate in a class at the Art Studio   
    For those looking to harness their inner artist, the art studio is offering over 40 classes throughout this month, for all ages and creative types. 
  8. Catch a class at Pure Yoga Pilates Studio   
    Find your zen with a class at Pure Yoga Pilates Studio! For those looking to stay in the comfort of their home, they even offer Zoom classes. Sign up for a package or drop in for a class, starting at $15! 
  9. Go bowling at Bowlero  
    If you’re looking for fun Friday night plans, head on over to Bowlero. When you buy 2 games, you’ll get your third game for only $6! Grab your group and get ready for a night of friendly competition. 
  10. Wilmington Public Library – Pitch or Ditch  
    If you are a big fan of the hit tv show, “Shark Tank”, make sure to add this event to your calendar! On January 25th, a panel of judges will be handing out a cash prize to the best pitch by a group of select entrepreneurs.
