The Wilmington Children’s Chorus is accepting applications for its inaugural Daniel L. Ridout Jr. Teaching Fellowship with the goal to provide career enriching experiences, mentorship, and professional development to Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) music educators who are at the beginning of their career.
One fellow will be selected for the inaugural term, running from August 2023-July 2024. The fellow will collaboratively teach and conduct WCC’s Performing Choirs, ensembles regionally known for their artistry and excellence in education. Not only will the fellow teach, but receive mentorship and professionally develop their skills in a high quality music and educational environment. Applications are due on March 5, 2023 by 11:59 p.m.
The Wilmington Children’s Chorus is the nation’s only tuition-free, community children’s chorus. Since 2002, the mission of the Wilmington Children’s Chorus has been to empower young people to change their world through music.
