Spring is in the air and Mother’s Day is this weekend, so you know what that means Wilmington!! IT’S TIME FOR THE WILMINGTON FLOWER MARKET! (better known around here as “The Flower Market”) If you aren’t familiar, do not be fooled by the name… this is not just a place to go and buy some hanging baskets and some chrysanthemums.

The Wilmington Flower Market is a Major 3-day Event!

The Flower Market is a major 3-day event and one of our town’s biggest of the year! Yes, you can buy some amazing plants and flowers but you can also: take a spin on the Ferris wheel, the zipper, the sizzler, win a game of ring toss, eat some water ice, cotton candy, or hotdog-on-a-stick, buy all kinds of amazing local handmade crafts, check out all kinds of freebies at the sponsor booths, meet and run into some amazing humans, and best of all – totally rock out to some of the best entertainment in the nation!  Thanks to WSTW, WDEL and Faith there have been huge names at the Flower Market like Jessica SimpsonLifehouseKaty Tiz, and The Veronicas. This year will be no exception with HUGE performances on the WSTW/ WDEL Stage from:

But wait there’s MORE!

Starting last year, you can kick back and enjoy some delicious, refreshing brews at the beer garden!

You can even feel really great about coming out and having all of this fun because it’s all for a really great cause benefitting children for a wide range of charities throughout Delaware and was started back in 1921.  Since then, The Flower Market has become one of the longest-running service organizations in Delaware and so much more.

So, grab your dog (on a leash), and all your peeps and shop for some amazing gifts for Mom and enjoy the party! It all happens at the Rockford Park and oh yeah… IT IS FREEEEE!

For more info check out TheFlowerMarket.com for all the details and their Facebook Page. Don’t forget to show us all your pics on social media with #WilmToday. We may even feature yours on our Instagram!

See you all at The Wilmington Flower Market from Thursday, May 10th to Saturday, May 12th.
