Opera Singing Barista in Downtown Wilmington Starbucks Goes Viral

A video trending on Facebook in Delaware shows Jason Berger, a barista at the Starbucks at the Nemours Building in downtown Wilmington, belting out opera on cue, without warming up.

Kaylan Weltzel, who posted the video and provided it to Delaware Online/The News Journal, has seen Jason sing before but made it a point to record it this time.

Weltzel said her husband, Gianluca, makes it a point to visit that particular Starbucks, because he is from Italy and speaks Italian to Berger, who studied there.

Kaylan said Berger’s performances never fail to impress. “I was in awe of his talent because I’m an actress and a singer as well. I’m like I need to be this guy’s agent,” Weltzel said.
