Holiday Season Events in Wilmington, DE!

Wilmington is a great place to spend the Holidays! Here are some of our favorite events that we are looking forward to in the city!

Santa at Hagley– Saturday, November 10th from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm Santa is stopping by at Hagley! Activities are included with admission and there will be gingerbread houses on display for their annual Gingerbread House Contest.

Brunch with Santa

Holiday Lights Express on the Wilmington & Western Railroad– Enjoy a magical ride on the Holiday Lights Express! 100-year-old heated coaches, each of which is covered in thousands of holiday lights are the perfect setting for a celebration.

Brunch with Santa at Winterthur– Enjoy an extensive classic brunch buffet including an omelet station and donut wall. Santa will be available for photos and spreading holiday cheer from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm!

Chanukah Breakfast Bash– Join Siegel Jewish Community Center for free donuts, bagels, and fruit while creating Holiday decorations from 9:30 to 11:30 am on December 11th! It’s a free program for everyone to enjoy!

Homeschooling Art Days Holiday Special– December 6th and December 13th bring the kids for Homeschooling Art with a Holiday Twist! Ages 6-10 are welcome to make handmade crafts for the holiday season. 

Riverbright Wilmington– One of the centerpieces of Wilmington’s Holiday season, the Christina Riverwalk is transformed with holiday lights, decorations, and holiday-themed events. RDC Executive Director Megan McGlinchey explains “The illumination of the Riverwalk will create a magical winter wonderland for all ages to enjoy”.

Mixers and Elixirs: Cheers to the Holidays– Friday, December 16th from 5 to 7 pm Winterthur will feature Holiday inspired cocktails. Celebrate by relaxing by the fires and roasting marshmallows under the lights.

Festive Afternoon Tea at Hotel du Pont– Chalet du Pont is an incredible winter pop-up designed to create wonderful winter-time memories! This delightful tea service will set you on the course for a great Holiday season.

Deck the Hall with DE.CO– Saturdays from 12-2 PM take some pictures with Santa and shop a wide variety of gifts for your loved ones at DE.CO downtown holiday market! Check off some boxes on your Holiday to-do list while enjoying a winter wonderland.

Holiday Jam Sesh at Tonic SNS– Get ready for some of the most exciting musical events of the season at Tonic. This Saturday, December 10th, at 8:00 pm DJ Andrew Hugh is performing, followed by Allison & Pete at 8:00 pm on the 17th.
