Fall is just around the corner! As the leaves change and the weather cools there is lots to do around the city. Here are our favorite fall activities, foods, drinks, and events.
Activities
Wagon Rides at Bellevue State Park– Enjoy a ride through Bellevue State Park as you relax and take in the scenery. After, join the group for a campfire and continue the night.
DE.CO Local Artisans Market– Every Saturday from 11 am – 4 pm check out the vendors from DE.CO Wilmington in collaboration with Green Box Kitchen. Have a cocktail from the atrium bar as you shop for clothes, floral arrangements, unique artwork, and more.
Market Street Music October Thursday Noontime Concerts– This fan-favorite series of free concerts is returning to Market Street on October 6th! Performances range from an organist to a choir to an accordionist!
Food
Carousel Park Farmers Market– Nothing says “Fall is in season” like a Farmers Market. Head over to Carousel Park and grab some fresh produce, jams, or other handmade items.
Crusts n’ Crafts– Visit La Pizzeria Metro for their first ever craft fair on October 22 from 11 am – 2:30 pm! They will offer several unique brunch items along with an array of vendors.
Drinks
Delaware Art Museum’s End of the Season Happy Hour Bash– This Happy Hour event has been one of the most popular of the summer, and it is ending with a bang! Join Delaware Art Museum for drinks, food, and music.
Delaware Beer Fest– Sample beers from local vendors at this charitable event. Main sponsors include Bellefonte Brewery and Big Oyster Brewery. Food from local restaurants and food trucks will also be available.
Events
Boo at the Zoo– October 21st, 22nd, and 23rd from 10 am – 3 pm wear a costume to Brandywine Zoo for this event full of treats, activities, and animals. It’s fun for the whole family!
Howl-O-Ween at Hagley– Halloween is for the dogs this year at Hagley Museum and Library! Bring your furry friends, with or without a costume, to enjoy activities specifically designed for dogs and their owners.
Truck and Tractor Day– A day on the farm is a great way to get into the fall season! Come get up close and personal with trucks, tractors, and other equipment, right at Winterthur! You can also suit up in fireman’s gear and take a hayride!
Trolley Tap House Annual Boo & Brew– Boo & Brew is on Oct. 23rd from 4-7pm and is family friendly and fun for all ages! $30 participation fee includes pumpkin to carve, carving kit & fall seasonal beer! Kid’s packages are also available for this fun Trolley Square event!
