The Delaware Children’s Museum is again hosting its New Year’s Eve Confetti Countdown after a two-year pause due to COVID-19. Prior to the pandemic, the event had become a staple at the museum, as the most popular event in the city and the busiest day of the year. To accommodate their many guests, they will now have FOUR separate countdowns for confetti drops at 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, and 2:00pm. Each of the drops will start with a countdown from 10 and finish with a showering confetti cannon. The event provides children with a more age-appropriate time to celebrate the new year.
This year, as well as the countdown, the museum is offering new year’s themed lighting and décor, puppet shows, live music from local band We Kids Rock, as well as fun and educational programming. The New Year’s Eve Confetti Countdown event is sponsored by M&T Bank. Those interested or with more questions should contact jvalenti@riverfrontwilm.com.
