Delaware Blue Coats to Hold Open Tryouts

The Delaware Blue Coats, the NBA G League affiliate of the renowned Philadelphia 76ers, are set to host their annual Open Tryouts in collaboration with Diamond Chiropractic. These tryouts present a remarkable opportunity for budding basketball talents. The highly anticipated event is scheduled across three separate dates:

• September 16th:
  St. Joseph’s Prep’s Kelly Fieldhouse at 1733 W. Girard Ave. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
• September 23rd:
  William Allen High School‘s J. Milo Sewards Gym at 1740 West Turner St. in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
• October 7th:
  Wilmington’s Chase Fieldhouse at 401 Garasches Lane in Wilmington, Delaware.

All tryout sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with registration commencing at 8:30 a.m.

We strongly encourage prospective participants to pre-register online, which is currently open for enrollment. Limited walk-up registration will be available, subject to an additional processing fee. As an added incentive, all participants will receive a Blue Coats practice jersey and a family ticket package for an upcoming game. It’s worth noting that esteemed coaches and personnel from both the Blue Coats and the Philadelphia 76ers will be in attendance, actively evaluating the pool of talent.

To be eligible for participation, players must adhere to the NBA’s eligibility standards and complete both an NBA G League Medical Consent and Authorization form and a Release & Eligibility Form.

Following their victory in the NBA G League Championship during the 2022-23 season, the Blue Coats are eagerly gearing up for the upcoming 2023-24 campaign. The season is set to kick off at Chase Fieldhouse in early November, with the team aiming for an impressive fourth consecutive trip to the Finals. The comprehensive game schedule is expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
