Whether you are of Irish descent or just love the color green, there are activities and events to catch this coming week that celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Wilmington!

The 45th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Hooley

Update as of 3/13: This event is postponed indefinitely because of the State of Emergency surrounding COVID-19.

Wilmington’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be hosted by the Irish Culture Club of Delaware(ICCD.)  Each year, numerous marching groups, bands, and floats celebrate Irish heritage and culture; bringing together families and friends to join in the revelry and fun. The parade route will run along North King Street from 4th to 14th Street.

The Hooley is at East 14th Street & North King Street following the parade.

St. Patrick’s Day at Catherine Rooney’s & Trolley Tap House

Friday, March 13 Katherine Rooney’s is having a St. Patrick’s Day Kick-off! They will have a Special Jameson Irish Whiskey Tasting Happy Hour at 6 pm, Irish Dancers at 7 pm, and Live Music from 6-9 PM. 

Saturday, March 14 and Tuesday, March 17  you can begin the festivities at the “Top ‘O The Mornin” with St. Paddy’s Breakfast from 9-11AM. There will be live music all day and night spanning both Katherine Rooney’s and the Trolley Tap House! See their event for full details.

St. Patrick’s Day Beer Dinner at Wilmington Brew Works

On Tuesday, March 17th Wilmington Brew Works will welcome Chef Robert Lhulier of Robert Lhulier Cuisine, for a St. Patrick’s Day Beer Dinner. A three-course meal with beer pairings in their taproom, including the debut of a yet-to-be-named Irish Oatmeal Stout. If you prefer a sit-down experience rather than a bar crawl, this event is for you! Tickets are $55 per person and include your three-course meal and three beer pairings. Doors open at 6 pm, Dinner starts at 6:30. See their event to buy tickets. 

St. Patrick’s Day at Bellefonte Brewing Co.

If you’re looking to get started early on St. Patrick’s Day, Bellefonte Brewing Co. is the place to be! They have expanded their hours and will be open from noon to midnight for the ultimate shenanigans with live music from Billy Pierce.
