Software developers Bhavana HindupurJocelyn Harper and Shilpa Jindal discussed the evolution of their careers, side projects, what they learned and what they wish they known earlier on in their careers. Along with the challenges they face being a woman in the tech industry.

The lack of women in technology is such a concern that Delaware has aimed to sign up 2000 STEM mentors for women and girls by 2019.

Jocelyn Harper is a software developer and Zip Code Wilmington graduate.

“You have to know where you’re going, you can’t be complacent. In big corporations, you have to know what you’re doing for your career very early on. … If you feel you’re stagnant, it’s on you to do something about it,”
