It’s finally the Holidays! The most wonderful time of the year! The snow is falling, the heat is on max, and everyone is spending time with those they love. The one thing that really makes this time of year magical are the decorations. The way in which each residence gets to display for the world their creativity and love for the holidays. Although going out as a family and exploring every neighborhood in sight to find the best holiday light show can become a very fun (though long) adventure, we did the research and wanted to save you the trouble. So let’s get down to the nitty-gritty of where the most spectacular displays in Wilmington and the surrounding areas are!

Starting almost as north as the north pole, we have 605 Wilson Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803. With gifts, and wreaths galore this home (clad in red, white, and green of course) will be sure to please. And hey, if you look really closely, you might even see Santa’s sleigh parked on the roof!

If you’re coming off of exit 7A on 202, you might want to take a look at nearby 812 N. Van Buren Street, Wilmington DE 19806. This residence is sure to dazzle! Located right near Cool Springs Park, it’s a great second stop on our light tour of Wilmington.

Next up, and roughly a mile away we have 1600 Maple Street, Wilmington, DE 190805. This site will definitely amaze the whole family with its gingerbread-style string lights. Warning: this house may get you in the mood to make a gingerbread house of your own.

Moving on, you might stop at 424 Champlain Ave, Wilmington, DE 19804. This winter wonderland of color will make you never want to leave. The jovial aesthetic of this house will create a feeling of wonder and amazement among adults and children alike!

Picking the kids up from Richey Elementary? Swing by 303 Second Ave, Wilmington, DE 19804 located less than half a mile away. Snowmen, and Stars, and Snowflakes, oh my! Frosty himself would want to settle down in this wintery snowglobe of a home. A perfect setting to break out the song!

But that’s not all. To explore more light shows in other parts of Northern Delaware, take a look at this list: 2017 Best Holiday Lights

We hope everyone has an amazing holiday season!
