The nation’s biggest celebration of women in music happens right here in Wilmington on July 18th and 19th. This two-day is in its 8th year and features 100 acts, including emerging and established women artists. The “Ladybug” name was coined not only to insinuate an all-female lineup but made perfect sense as it’s the state bug of Delaware.

Over the past two years, approximately 70% of the event staff was female, including sound engineers, and stage managers, and the festival is expanding to downtown Milford, DE on September 21, for the second year in a row.

The Wilmington shows will feature a tribute to “The Ladybugs of Soul”, Aretha Franklin, Tina Whitney Chaka, and local artists Kyra Camille, Lefty the Greatist, Nancy Huebiner, and Angela Burns. Click here for the full list of artists and schedule.
