To many Wilmington Theatre fans, the summer would not be complete without the Delaware Shakespeare Festival. To adapt to the current circumstances, Delaware Shakespeare is putting on a (Mostly) Virtual Festival to celebrate their typical summer run at Rockwood Park.

The programming will take place July 17-August 2, the three weekends they would typically be staging their summer production (The Tempest was initially slated for summer 2020) with a variety of original, Shakespeare-related digital programming.  The programming schedule is as follows:

Week 1

  • Friday 7/17 at 7:30pm- Becoming Prospero
  • Saturday 7/18 at 7:30pm- Janssen’s Picnic Contest Launch Party
  • Sunday 7/19 at 5pm- Family Sunday #1

Week 2

  • Friday 7/24 at 7:30pm- Two Bald Guys Direct The Tempest
  • Saturday 7/25 at 2pm – Matinee! Selena and Greg Get Engaged! Much Ado About Something
